The Big Apple!

The last two days have been spent roaming around New York City! Haven't had time to blog! We've been lucky enough to have two sunny days, with warm weather - and - LOTS of people. Too many for us to count...
So will include pictures of our adventures. Yesterday, Dave and I spent a couple of hours in a restaurant called 'The Heartland Brewery' where they brew their own brand of beer. It wasn't busy, Dave and I sat at the bar where we made friends with the bar tender and his supervisor. Had a couple of beers plus 2 free samples (the accent paid off!) and a delicious serve (2) of nachos!
Then Dave and I walked a few blocks to catch the 'uptown' tour of NY city on the double decker bus and we went to Harlem, Lincoln Centre, the place where John Lennon was shot, Central Park, The Guggenheim, Apollo Theatre (where Michael Jackson got started) etc. We left the bus at Central Park because Scarlet wanted to go on a horse buggy ride. We did. With Max, the beautiful horse. Hope his owner loved him as much as Scarlet did. She even gave Max a tip!

Highlight of the evening was going to Madison Square Garden to watch a pre-season ice hockey match. $70 a ticket - in back row but with full view of the rink. It was good fun! (beer very expensive!) Got a bus back home about 10.30pm!
